3 credits The course highlights the practice and role delineation of the pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Also included are an overview of pharmacy law, pharmacy math, pharmaceutical operations and pharmacology. The course also simulates daily activities in the pharmaceutical practice settings. Topics include: order entry processes, medication distribution systems, inventory, prescription processing, billing, repackaging, floor stock and controlled substance distribution, pharmaceutical computer systems, utilization of drug information resources, and proper communication techniques.
