4 credits/semester This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of "seeing" and drawing, using various approaches to line, space, structure,texture, value, composition. A variety of drawing media will be examined, including exercises in pencil, pen, charcoal, brush with ink, pastel, crayon, and wash. Studio problems range from still-life, landscape, figurative, to studies in abstraction.
