4 Credits Prerequisite: MTH1180, MTH 1401 or permission This course will investigate important discoveries in their historical context and the lives and contributions of great mathematicians and scientists. Emphasis will be placed on the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Babylon, Greek mathematics, Fobonacci, the Renaissance, Pascal and probability theory, Gauss and number theory, and 20th Century mathematics.
