Emphasis is placed on identification, plant nomenclature, growth characteristics, culture requirements, and landscape uses. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the proper selection and utilization of plant materials. Landscape uses of native plants and an understanding of native plant communities will be stressed.
