Prerequisite(s): NUR 101 Corequisite(s): None This course includes more advanced concepts as related to the practical nurse's caregiver and discipline-specific roles. Emphasis is placed on the nursing process, delegation, cost effectiveness, legal/ethical/professional issues, and wellness/illness patterns. Upon completion, students should be able to begin participating in the nursing process to promote/maintain/restore optimum health for diverse clients throughout the life span. This is a diploma- level course. *Clinical Practice A - Clinical focus will complement content areas of surgical process and the special needs patient, cardiovascular, oncology, musculoskeletal and gastrointestinal nursing. Clinical Practice B - Clinical focus will complement content areas of gerontology, endocrinology, neurology, respiratory, and genitourinary.
