Prerequisite(s): None Corequisite(s): None This course covers methods of analyzing and repairing failures in electrical and electronic equipment. Topics include: safety, service information, component substitutions, repairing without access to reference materials, reverse engineering, analog and digital control systems, and documenting procedures and methods used. Upon completion students should be able to demonstrate a logical process for analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic equipment with or without service information. In addition, students will utilize word processing and spreadsheets, demonstrate manipulation of databases of technical service specifications, and prepare multimedia presentations to present results.
