Prerequisite(s): EMS 110 Corequisite(s): EMS 120 and EMS 131 This course introduces the fundamental principles of pharmacology and medication administration and is required for intermediate and paramedic certification. Topics include terminology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, weights, measures, drug calculations, legislation, and administration routes. Upon completion, students should be able to accurately calculate drug dosages, properly administer medications, and demonstrate general knowledge of pharmacology.
