Technology, as it supports developmentally appropriate practice in early childhood settings, will be the focus of this course. Students will explore the use of the World Wide Web, educational software and current computer programs in developing an appropriate learning environment for young children. The use of audio and visual technology as tools for learning in this setting will also be addressed. individual needs and modifications, such as assistive technologies available for children, will be studied, as will critical evaluation of all aspects of technology as an assessment tool.
