Introduces the fundamental theory, safety practices, equipment, and techniques necessary to perform basic oxyacetylene welding operations. Topics include welding theory oxyacetylene welding safety use of gas cylinders and regulators use of torches, tips, and apparatus welding without filler rods running beads with filler rods butt, open butt, and lap joints and brazing and soldering. Practice in the laboratory is provided. Prerequisite: WLD 100
