Introduces the fundamental theory and skills required to shampoo and create shapings, pin curls, finger waves, roller placement, and comb outs. Laboratory training includes styling training to total 20 hours on manikins and 25 hours on live models without compensation. Topics include braiding/intertwining hair, shampoo chemistry, shampoo procedures, styling principles, pin curls, roller placement, finger waves, combout techniques, skip waves, ridge curls, and safety precautions. Prerequisite: COS 100
