This course is an introduction to the culture and society of Mexican Americans. The various social, political, and economic conditions and experiences of people of Mexican ancestry living in the United States are examined in historical context, from the pre-Columbian period to the present. The group's culture and the group's relationship with the larger society are explored and analyzed.
