Prerequisite: Keyboarding Profi ciency Corequisite: MED 121 or OST 141 This course covers the information and procedures necessary for producing acceptable medical documentation. Topics include digital dictation systems; workplace security systems; the access, retrieval, and transport of medical documents; and other transcribing techniques necessary for acceptable medical documentation. Upon completion, students should be able to process medical documents in a home-based or medical facility. (Sp.)
