Prerequisite: MAT 080 or MAT 090 or appropriate placement scores Corequisite: None This course is an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include sampling, distributions, plotting data, central tendency, dispersion, Central Limits Theorem, confi dence intervals, hypotheses testing, correlations, regressions, and multinominal experiments. Upon completion, students should be able to describe data and test inferences about populations using sample data. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement general education core requirement in natural sciences/mathematics (Quantitative Option).
