Prerequisite: None Corequisite: None This course covers the origins and development of the musical from Show Boat to the present. Emphasis is placed on the investigation of the structure of the musical and its components through listening and analysis. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate skills in listening and understanding this form of American music. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement. ( Sp.)
