Prerequisite: None Corequisite: None This course is a study of geographical, political, economic, and social conditions existing in North Carolina from America's discovery to the present. Topics include native and immigrant backgrounds; colonial, antebellum, and Reconstruction periods; party politics; race relations; and the transition from an agrarian to an industrial economy. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze signifi cant political, socioeconomic, and cultural developments in North Carolina. This course has been approved to satisfy the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement for transferability as a pre-major and/or elective course requirement. ( On Demand)
