An interdisciplinary seminar designed to introduce the student to the requirements of a technical position in medical and laboratory situations. The student will complete collaborative tasks emphasizing use of science and mathematics knowledge and skills from biology and mathematics, and will demonstrate that knowledge through the use of writing and computing skills. The course includes tours of workplace environments and discussions lead by professionals who introduce workplace challenges. Also introduced will be strategies for interpersonal skills development and critical thinking.
