Prerequisites: NUR 115 Corequisites: BIO 169, PSY 150 This course introduces concepts related to the nursing care of individuals experiencing acute and chronic alterations in health. Emphasis is placed on utilizing the nursing process as a framework for providing and managing nursing care to individuals along the wellness-illness continuum. Upon completion, students should be able to apply the nursing process to individuals experiencing acute and chronic alterations in health. Students will apply theoretical knowledge and skills in a variety of community settings.
