This course introduces the physiologic and pharmacologic basis of pulmonary and cardiac medications. Students will study the preparation, calculation of dosages, and mixtures. Students study general principles of pharmacology as a basis for an indepth discussion of bronchoactive drugs and drug groups related to the cardiopulmonary system, including neuromuscular blocking agents, central nervous system depressants, cardiovascular agents, and diuretics. Prerequisites: BIO 193, BIO 194, CHM 191, MAT 191
