Emphasizes indepth arithmetic skills needed for the study of mathematics related to specific occupational programs and for the study of basic algebra. Topics include number theory, fractions, decimals, ratio/proportion, percent, measurement/geometric formulas, and word problems. Homework assignments reinforce classroom learning. Prerequisite: MAT 096 or entrance arithmetic score in accordance with approved TCSGadmissionscore levels. Lab may be substituted, as needed, for class hours on a 2to1 basis.
