Internet Business Fundamentals teaches students how to access the Internet and the World Wide Web using a Web Brower as a generalpurpose Internet application. Students will learn to use the Internet for email, the World Wide Web, newsgroups, Gopher, Veronica, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), and Telnet. Students will gain experience using and configuring both Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer to access rich multimedia data and objects as well as Java, Shockwave, and Active X content. A variety of Webbased search engines will be used to conduct advanced searches and learn the basics of project leadership, security, and ebusiness solutions. Students will also learn about business on the Internet, and how business research can help gain market intelligence. Prerequisite: Program admission
