This course explores the techniques and practices of Musical Theatre performance. Basic instruction and rehearsals expose students to the creative process as they participate in all three areas of musical theatre performance: acting, singing and dancing. The study and performance of excerpts from various time periods and styles are included, to acquaint the students with a wide variety of musical theatre. Students perform selected Musical Theatre excerpts at the culmination of the semester. May be taken for a total of four times.
