This course meets the requirements of the State of California, Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). The POST certification is held by the Riverside Sheriff Department, our sponsoring Law Enforcement Agency. Completion of the course meets the training requirement as prescribed by POST to be a full-time Peace Officer in the State of California. There are a total of 943 hours required in this class. Lecture Hours: 540 Lab Hours: 413 Repeatable: No Grading: K Limitation on Enrollment: Completion of the POST reading and writing skills examination. Completion of POST physical fitness assessment. Possession of a valid California driver's license. Successful completion of a medical examination. Fingerprint clearance through the California State Department of Justice.
