Prerequisite(s): MLT 110, MLT 130, and MLT 140 Corequisite(s): None This course introduces the immune system and response; basic concepts of antigens, antibodies, and their reactions; and applications in transfusion medicine and serodiagnostic testing. Emphasis is placed on immunological and blood banking techniques including concepts of cellular and humoral immunity and pretransfusion testing. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate theoretical comprehension in performing and interpreting routine immunological and blood bank procedures.
