This course presents an analysis of the resistance training field to include types of resistance equipment used, resistance-training methods for the client, proper lifting and spotting techniques for the various equipment, and assessment of clients. Also covered is goal setting for clients based on assessment findings and the use of eriodization techniques in planning resistance training activities. Risk management aspects of the weight area and proper care and maintenance of equipment is explained.
