This course will provide students with an opportunity to travel to Mexico and gain exposure to Mexican culture. Students will work with primary health care providers in an ambulatory care clinic. Students will use nursing skills to deliver outpatient health care to Mexican clients of all ages. Travel expenses will be paid by the student and will be approximately $600.00. Students, who will be in Texas and Mexico for 4 days and 3 nights, should have a valid U.S. passport. This course may be used to fulfill the elective requirement for nursing. Students must receive a ā€œCā€ or better in this course as a prerequisite for subsequent courses.
