CREDITS: 5.00 A continued study of forces with an emphasis toward the analysis and design of structures and their components. Investigates stractual loading, beam shear and flexure, beam analysis and design, column analysis and design, and connections. Introduces the design of beams using steel and reinforced concrete, beam deflection, and solution of statically indeterminate beams. The students will gain a familliarity with the applicable codes and manuals governing the design and detailing of structural members.
