The materials and manufacturing processes applicable to both Thermoplastic and Thermosetting plastics are discussed. This course covers the basics of plastics chemistry, materials and manufacturing processes. Processes included are Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Compression Molding and others. The study of Composites materials and manufacture will explore the various matrix materials of both space age materials and of those used in every day household products.
