This course studies the life history, methods of prevention, control of the important diseases of native ornamental trees, greenhouse crops, fruits, vegetables, and field crops. Characteristics and identification of fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes and physiological diseases are also examined. The safe and proper use of pesticides and the application equipment is stressed along with inegrated pest management concepts.
