This course will cover design, construction, and layout standards for substations. Students will learn proper and safe use of maintenance test equipment used to keep substations in proper operating condition. Students will also learn safe and proper installation and removal procedures for fans and pumps used with distribution power transformers as well as the principle of operation and intent of control devices used in substations.
