Prerequisite: GIS 1101 A course in the basic use of hand-held Global Positioning Systems (GPS) unit in the field. The course will include an introduction to terminology, hardware, and technology used in GPS. Instruction will include the fundamentals of operating a hand-held GPS unit. The course will introduce the basic techniques used in the determination of feature location and completion of maps in GIS.
