Prerequisite: GRN 100 - 108 Provides the student with the opportunity to gain experience in an actual clinical/job setting. Students will be placed in an appropriate facility for 18 hours per week throughout the quarter. On-the-job training topics include: orientation to the professional, communication, roles and responsibilities of a Geriatric Specialist, legal and safety requirements in the field of gerontology, equipment use, and performance skills standards and procedures.
