Prerequisites: Program admission Provides an overview of applied electricity for technical and industrial applications. Topics include electrical units and principles, applied DC circuits, applied AC circuits, common transformers, single phase circuits, three phase circuits, introduction to troubleshooting and common industrial motors/motor controls. The course emphasizes basic electrical terminology and associated problem solving in electrical technology. Competencies are reinforced with practical hands-on lab exercises and use of electrical meters.
