Prerequisites:BIO 193, BIO 194; MAT 190 or MAT 191, MAT 196 Corequisites: AHS 104, CHM 191, CHM 192, CLT 101 Develops concepts and techniques of clinical chemistry applicable to clinical laboratory technology. Topics include: carbohydrates, electrolytes and acid-base balance, nitrogenous compounds, enzymes and endocrinology, liver functions, lipids, toxicology and therapeutic drug monitoring, safety and quality control, correlation of disease states, process improvement (team approach), and critical thinking skills.
