Prerequisite: CIS 2556 Covers UNIX/Linux shell programming techniques necessary for UNIX/Linux System Administrators to understand and create shell script programs in a UNIX/Linux environment. Topics include: shell variables; running shell script program; conditional processing; looping structures; arithmetic operators; logical operators such as AND, OR, and NOT; positional parameters and process variables; redirection, piping, and standard error; and use of backslash, quotes, and back quotes.
