Prerequisite: Acceptance to Polysomnography Technology Advanced Technical Certificate program Corequisites: PSG 1000 and PSG 1000L An introduction to basic polysomnographic procedures performed in the clinical setting. Students will observe, perform (under supervision), and evaluate basic sleep studies. Students will be required to master the skills of: conducting a complete sleep history; patient assessment; patient preparation; instrumentation setup, calibration and operation; recording and monitoring procedures during the test; documentation; record-keeping; and patienttechnologist interactions.
