Prerequisite: Demonstration of required level of English proficiency or minimum grade of C in EAP 0281 Prerequisite or corequisite: EAP 0360 Students develop the ability to write basic structured academic paragraphs on familiar topics and execute other academic writing tasks. Competencies: 1) select a topic and appropriate pre-writing technique, 2) develop a topic sentence, 3) select basic support, 4) write the first draft of a paragraph, 5) edit for errors, 6) produce a final paragraph, and 7) write a letter. Required lab work is a homework component of this course. A departmental final exam is required. Credit does not apply toward any associate degree. Minimum grade of C required for successful completion. (Special Fee: $36.00)
