3 Credits Nursing & Public Safety Science Part of the Paramedic program, this course introduces the student to the scientific aspects of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The pathophysiology of shock and pharmacology that is pertinent to EMS will be studied. The course is open only to students enrolled in the Paramedic program. Students must maintain at least a C average to continue in the program. Prerequisite: BIO 113, SCI 111. Corequisite: PAR 102.
