3 Credits Business,Professional Studies Recreation Leadership Students gain professional experience in the field of recreation and leisure services. Students examine their present personal skills and identify areas that are lacking or are in need of refinement. They research various settings where a field work experience is feasible and compatible with their needs. Each student prepares a resume, visits sites, interviews, and finalizes arrangements for an on-site internship in a public, private, or commercial recreation setting. For this part of the fieldwork experience, students will do a 30-hour internship where they will have the opportunity to observe and shadow a professional in the field. Prerequisites: REC 100, 200, or 213, and by advisement. Corequisite: CSC 101 or by advisement.
