11 Credits Nursing & Public Safety Paramedic Students are provided with further education necessary to administer advanced pre-hospital emergency skills as Paramedics. The course incorporates lecture, lab, and clinical material contained in Division 4 (Medical Emergencies) of the most recent curriculum approved by the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and the National Highway Safety Administration. Clinical rotations are required in Paramedic Field Rotation, Emergency Department, Pediatrics, Cardiac, Intensive Care Units, and others. Students must maintain at least a C average to continue in the program.. Lab fee. Prerequisite: BIO 111, PAR 101, and SCI 111. Corequisite: SCI 112
