7 Credits Nursing & Public Safety Paramedic Students are provided with education necessary to administer advanced pre-hospital emergency skills and life support functions as Paramedics. The course incorporates lecture, lab, and clinical material contained in Division 5 (OB/GYN/Neonatal) and Division 6 (Behavioral Emergencies) of the most recent curriculum approved by the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and the National Highway Safety Administration. Clinical rotations are required in Paramedic Field Rotation, Emergency Department, Psychiatry, Labor and Delivery, and Neonatal ICU. Students must maintain at least a C average to continue in the program. Lab fee. Prerequisite: PAR 102.
