3 Credits Business,Professional Studies Recreation Leadership Students learn the fundamental concepts of the use of outdoor activities in organized camping and outdoor educational programs. Various types of camping operations are compared, including day, resident, trip, and travel camps. Students review special administrative techniques used for staffing, promotion, and accreditation. They also examine adventure and challenge programs, urban outdoor educational programs, and programs adapted for the disabled. This is a lecture course and does not involve any overnight camping expeditions.
