3 Credits Nursing & Public Safety Nursing Independent study courses are specifically designed to meet the educational needs of the nursing student and/or community. Students are required to submit a written proposal that includes a description of the project, its duration, educational goals, method of evaluation, and number of credits to be earned. Students may participate in educational grant programs and/or community education activities for independent study credit with permission of the Nursing chairperson. The chairperson will determine credit allocation based on the written description of the activity, clinical time, and/or student assignments. May be repeated one time for credit.
