On his path toward enlightenment he found the keys to Reiki healing in the Ancient Sanskrit. Through fasting and meditation he received the information which we now call Reiki. Dr. Usui started his school in Japan in the mid 1800's. We use Reiki alone for healing and as a complement to all healing modalities. Many doctors now recommend Reiki to enhance their treatment. Hospitals offer Reiki to their patients and studies support the healing ability of Reiki. In Dr, Oz's study, a heart surgeon for Columbian Presbyterian Hospital in NYC, patients who received Reiki before, during and after surgery healed faster, had better prognosis and less bleeding.
