0 Credits Undeclared division Non Credit Courses Learn step by step everything from acquiring a puppy or kitten to dealing with the problems of older animals. Discover simple techniques for general handling, grooming, training, preventative health care, troubleshooting problems, and proper nutrition. There will be a focus on natural alternatives for treating many common health issues and the preparation and use of some basic home remedies. You will also learn when to treat at home and when to seek professional veterinary care. There will be time for questions and hands-on practice. A therapy dog is used for class demonstrations; please do NOT bring your pet but you may bring a stuffed cat or dog on which to practice. NOTE: This class has an optional textbook which is available from the instructor at the class.
