0 Credits Undeclared division Non Credit Courses This course continues on from NCC 084: Basic Fashion Sewing. You will learn to sew details such as darts, set-in sleeves, pockets, and basic collars. Banish puckering seams, floppy facings, sloppy collars and gaping pockets, and give your finished garments a clean finished professional polish. This course's emphasis is placed on using industry techniques to achieve professional-looking results. Take your garments from "home made" to "custom made." Bring your sewing questions, frustrations and current project to the last class. You will learn not only by getting help with your own project, but via the other students' problems and solutions. This course is made up of hands-on, lecture and demo with handouts. NOTE: This course has a materials fee (paid to the instructor at the first class). MATERIALS: Bring your sewing machine and two yards of muslin to class. PREREQUISITE: You should be comfortable with your sewing machine and making the most basic garments.
