3 Credits Math,Science,ENGR, & TECH Mathematics Mathematics topics relevant to microcomputer use are covered in this course. These include a review of algebra, base arithmetic (using binary, octal, and hexadecimal number systems), an introduction to statistics, set theory, Boolean algebra, logic, and an introduction to mathematics of finance. Prerequisites: MAT 098, high school equivalent (see Guidelines for Mathematics Placement, p. 178), or Entering Student Assessment at MAT 100 (or higher), and BUS 171 or CIS 100.
