4 Credits Nursing & Public Safety Intermediate Studies This course provides students with the refresher, continuing education, and general medical updates necessary to administer advanced pre-hospital emergency care and skills as EMT Intermediates. It incorporates lecture and lab materials contained in the most recent EMT Intermediate curriculum approved by the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The secondary goal is to provide certification requirements for American Heart Association CPR and National Association of EMTs Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support. Special fee applies. Prerequisite: Current or past certification as an AEMT Intermediate.
