3 Credits Social Sciences,EDU, & HUS Human Services Students are required to participate in the equivalent of 11/2 days a week (10 hrs. a week/120 hrs. a semester) in lectures and work related to various human service disciplines. This experience involves direct work with individuals and groups, participation in staff activities, administrative tasks, planning, community organization, recording, evaluation, and other agency tasks. Students also participate in workshops, seminars, and in-service training. This is the first course of a sequence that provides practical learning experience in a community social welfare or private human service agency. A qualified practitioner supervises students.
