1 Credit Nursing & Public Safety Intermediate Studies This course provides students with the new, refresher, continuing education, and general updates necessary to administer basic and advanced pre-hospital trauma emergency care and skills as EMT, EMT Intermediate, or Paramedic. It incorporates lecture and lab materials contained in the most recent Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support curriculum approved by the National Association of EMTs PHTLS Committee and American College of Surgeons. The secondary goal is to provide certification requirements of National Association of EMT's Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support. Special fee applies. Prerequisites: Current certification as an EMT, AEMT Intermediate, or Paramedic.
