3 Credits Math,Science,ENGR, & TECH Enviro Control/Hazardous Waste Students learn the management skills necessary to assume leadership roles in private, local, municipal, and state pollution remediation facilities. Students develop inventory systems, prepare purchase orders, complete daily, monthly, and annual reports, learn techniques of business correspondence, and practice delivery of oral presentations. Students also learn how to determine the compatibility of waste streams and how to meet Federal requirements for treatment, storage, disposal, and shipment of hazardous materials. Components of this course are derived from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration's (OSHA) Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) regulations. 3 hrs. lect. Prerequisites: ENV 102, ENV 103.
